A fabulous film of the ‘Success Story’ television programme produced in the 1950s. It shows the scale, volume and technology of View-Master production – phenolic plastic moulding for viewer bodies, hand assembly, film duplication from master images, Kodachrome film processing and the amazing hydraulic reel assembly machine.

OK, the presentation is stilted by todays standards but a great piece of archive history nonetheless. Some nice technical details for us old-school photographic nerds plus the appearance at the end of the film of William Gruber, the View-Master inventor, is an extra bonus.
